Remember OASYS precedes M3 by several years so this facility was simply not catered for in OASYS. The M3 has special driver software written for it by Korg that allows it to become a plugin within a DAW environment - but this is not the case for OASYS. The OASYS will not ever 'show up' in Ableton or any DAW. The main part of what I said still applies Thanks, I knew it had USB type-A Male connectors for storage/external device hosting, was just not sure if it had a type-B male connector (like on a printer) for it to act as an attached device to another computer. I think where you are going wrong is not in what you are doing but what you are expecting.Ī MIDI connection has no real way to know what device is connected to it. Posted: Fri 4:00 pm Post subject: Re: Using the OASYS in Ableton Live this almost makes me want to trade it in for an M3. Is there anyone here who has got an OASYS set up within Live? Logic is in the mail and that looks like an nightmare too. maybe part of it is that these are old patches and for DP? but still the OASYS isn't showing up in Live (only the midisport is!) What I've done is used a midi in/out cord to USB, (an M-Audio Midisport UNO) and then followed the patch list instructions I found here to setup the audio midi. and I can't for the life of me determine how to get the OASYS running within the Live environment. The main sequencer I am using is Ableton Live for Mac OS X 10.6. And I think, I've got the general gist of it, so I have moved it down to the studio to be connected to my computer setup! and have just been learning how it works. I've had the OASYS for about a month now.
